Blogger Gary of Let Freedom Ring took the time to share with me just how deep-seated the resentment is among many bloggers at Congressman John Murtha, and just how strong the wish is to remove him from office this Election Day. He pointed me to his incisive post analyzing the Pennsylvania Democrat's unprincipled and reckless grandstanding on the Haditha investigation (which addresses in more depth issues I raised in yesterday's post). Gary also informed me that he's joined with other savvy conservatives to launch Murtha Must Go, a blog devoted to exposing and discrediting Murtha -- and potentially drumming up decisive support for Murtha's GOP contender this year, Diana Irey.
Fascinating. In the current issue of Newsweek Jonathan Alter reminds everyone that blogs are changing the face of presidential campaigning. Perhaps this year they -- we -- will bring national scrutiny to and impact on local campaigns. Wizbang Politics is compiling a blogroll of campaign blogs. Hugh Hewitt recently pitched for contributions in key Republican Senate campaigns.
