I really dont understand why you think a public congressional hearing is a better way to catch criminals than, say, the police, the FBI, and the court system. Robert Hansen didn't get caught by politicians in congress, he got caught by professionals in the CIA.

I dont understand why you think its a good thing.. if there were a HUAC right now, Nancy Pelosi would have control over it. I mean, is that what you want? Politicians investigating crimes, instead of the intelligence community and police and the courts? I dont understand it.
